Enjoy the Green Door Studio in historic downtown Fort Bragg, California when you are visiting the Mendocino Coast. This is the working studio of sculptor Dan Hemann.
The studio gallery has many examples of Hemann’s fine bronze art which have been created over the past twenty years. Both categories of Hemann’s sculpture are represented: the human figure series, which deals with expressionism; and the very popular animal form studies, which are based on line and balance.
Some of the works exhibited have never been shown elsewhere.
In recent years, Hemann has continued his studies, and his style has continued to evolve. In the category of human figure studies, his direction has become more expressive. The subjects are, as always, a reflection of the artist’s masterful capacity to sculpt elegance and grace.
Now, one will find a broad spectrum of human expression with an underlying statement. Hemann says that this is the result of time and the effect of emotional life.
